About

About HopMeds (pharmhops.com and the PharmHops app)

HopMeds is pharmacy management software made in Nepal by Hopmeds Health Tech Pvt. Ltd. of Jawalakhel, Lalitpur. pharmhops.com is its address on the web, and PharmHops is the name of its Android app for pharmacy staff, which is not published yet.

Who we are

Hopmeds Health Tech Pvt. Ltd. is a Nepali company at Jawalakhel-5, Lalitpur. We build HopMeds, software for running a pharmacy or medical hall: the counter, the stock, customer dues, purchasing, and the records a pharmacy in Nepal is expected to keep. It also fits clinics that run their own dispensary.

We build for the Nepali counter. The whole app switches between Nepali and English, dates work in BS or AD, VAT is worked out at Nepal's 13% rate with medicines exempt by default, and totals are calculated to the paisa. The same company runs the hosted service, reviews every pharmacy that asks for access, and answers when you call or write.

The three names, one product

You may have met us under more than one name. They all lead to the same software and the same company.

  • HopMeds is the product and the brand. Its full name is HopMeds Pharmacy, and it is the name on the logo and on this website.
  • pharmhops.com is our website address. This site is at pharmhops.com, and the web app your staff sign in to is at pharmhops.com/app/.
  • PharmHops is the name of our Android app for pharmacy staff. It opens the same HopMeds web app, with the same login. It is not published yet. For now, open HopMeds in a modern desktop or mobile browser and add it to your phone's home screen.
  • Hopmeds Health Tech Pvt. Ltd. is the company behind all three, at Jawalakhel-5, Lalitpur, Nepal. It is the company named in our privacy policy.

In Nepali the names are written होपमेड्स and फार्महप्स. Whichever spelling you searched for — HopMeds, Hopmeds, PharmHops or pharmhops — you have reached the right company.

What HopMeds covers

Each area has its own page with the detail. In short:

Billing and VAT. Bill patients or walk-in customers, save drafts, give discounts and take part or full payment. A VAT-registered pharmacy issues IRD-format tax invoices with 13% VAT on taxable lines and invoice numbers that run in order per branch and fiscal year. Receipts are PDFs sized for 80 mm receipt paper, printed from your normal print dialog. More on billing and VAT invoices

Batch stock and expiry. Receive and adjust stock by batch, sell the earliest-expiring batch first (FEFO), and work from expiry and low-stock lists. A photo of a medicine label can pre-fill batch, expiry and MRP for you to check before saving. More on stock and expiry

Khata, suppliers and books. Track each customer's udharo with aging, statements and credit limits; keep suppliers, purchase orders and order lists; and, from the Plus plan, keep double-entry books with profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow. More on Khata, suppliers and books

Compliance records. Monthly reports by BS or AD month, an IRD-style sales register, HMIS-style Excel and CSV summaries for your own filing, and a controlled-medicine register that logs every movement with a running balance. More on HMIS, IRD-style and DDA records

Doctors and clinics. From the Plus plan, pair the doctors you work with using a code: they see what you have in stock and send e-prescriptions to your counter. You can also run in-person doctor sessions at the shop with token bookings, and patient records build up from the bills you issue. More on doctors and clinics

Pricing. Three plans, Basic, Plus and Pro, starting at Rs 999 a month or Rs 9,999 a year. Invoices and patients are unlimited on every plan; branches, staff logins and label scans depend on the plan. See plans and prices

How we work with a pharmacy

  1. Request access. Fill in the request form at pharmhops.com/app/ with your pharmacy's details, including its registration or licence number. You confirm your email with a 6-digit code and can attach the registration document.
  2. A person reviews it. Signing up is a request, not an instant account. Someone on the HopMeds team reviews each request before the pharmacy is switched on.
  3. A trial, then a plan. An approved pharmacy starts on a trial with every Pro feature, up to three branches and 30 label scans a month, with no card needed. When you choose a plan, you pay by bank QR transfer, enter the reference number, and our team verifies the payment.
  4. Setup help. We help you get running, including moving your current stock list in: bring it from Excel or CSV, preview it, match the columns and apply it. Then give each staff member their own login and role.
  5. Support in Nepali and English. Ask us in whichever language suits you, by phone on +977-9768542410 or by email at info@hopmeds.com.

Where the service runs

The hosted service at pharmhops.com runs on Render in the United States (Oregon), with Cloudflare in front of it. Records are kept in a PostgreSQL database that Render runs for us, with short-term point-in-time backups, and we also download copies of the database from time to time and keep them in restricted storage. The hosted service needs an internet connection, and its data is not stored in Nepal.

For a pharmacy that has to keep working through internet outages, we can set up a separate installation on the shop's own computer, by arrangement. Staff use it from computers and phones on the shop's network, and it keeps going during a public-internet outage as long as that computer and the network are on. The records stay on that computer, and the pharmacy looks after its backups.

Who can see your records, which companies process data for us and how long records are kept are set out in full in our privacy policy. Read the privacy policy

What HopMeds does not claim: HopMeds is not on the IRD enlisted software list, and it holds no approval from DDA, NMC or DoHS. It sends no SMS or email reminders to your customers. The hosted service needs an internet connection, and the PharmHops Android app is not published yet.
